Commuting

Penn State encourages bicycle commuting, and is committed to supporting students and employees who choose to ride their bicycles to campus.

By biking instead of driving, you’re helping to reduce congestion on campus, you’re getting great exercise, and you’re keeping harmful pollution out of the air.

  • A variety of paths and trails (pdf) crisscross the Centre Region. Penn State is working with local organizations to develop new paths.
  • All CATA buses are equipped with bike racks, so you can bike to campus and ride the bus home—or vice versa.
  • Bike racks are located throughout campus, including in the commuter lots.
