Visitor Parking Information

Thank you for visiting Penn State University. To help you make the most out of your visit, Transportation Services provides visitor parking options in a variety of locations throughout campus. 

Hourly Parking

Between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 12:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, hourly visitor parking is available at the following locations:

  • Nittany Parking Deck (next to the Nittany Lion Inn on Fischer Road)
  • HUB Parking Deck (next to the HUB on Shortlidge Road)
  • East Parking Deck (next to the Berkey Creamery on Bigler Road)

Please note that parking in the East and Nittany Parking Decks between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, requires display of a valid visitor parking permit. Parking in the HUB Parking Deck between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. requires display of a valid visitor permit seven days a week.

One-Day Parking Permits

If you will be visiting campus for more than a few hours or if you would like to purchase visitor parking in advance of a visit, one-day parking permits are available for purchase at the following areas:

  • Yellow D (East Deck), Yellow F (Eisenhower Deck), Nittany Deck, Red A, and Orange Lots - $6.00
  • Commuter Lots (Lot 44, Stadium West, Porter North) - $4.00

One day parking permits are available for purchase at any Kiosk Information Booth, the Parking Office, or at the Centre County/Penn State Visitor Center. For the permit to be valid the date information for that day must be scratched and the permit must be displayed on the rear-view mirror of the vehicle. If overnight parking is needed on campus, please visit the Parking Office.

Parking Meters

Parking meters are available in select areas of campus for short-term parking needs. All campus meters take U.S. quarters only, with the hours of operation and maximum time allowed posted on each meter. For information on meter locations on campus, please visit a Kiosk Information Booth.

Visitor Motorcycle Parking

Visitors traveling to campus by motorcycle may park at the Nittany, HUB, or East Parking Decks at the rate of $1.00 per hour (cash only). Short-term parking is also available at meters in select areas of campus (meters take U.S. quarters only).
